Tomato Chutney —2

Ingredients

  • Onion            – 1 no
  • Red tomato – 2 no
  • Garlic            – 4 pods
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 tsp

For seasoning

  • Mustard – ½ tsp
  • Urid dal (split black gram) – ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Asafoetida powder – pinch

Method

  • Chop onion, tomato and garlic.
  • Fry Onion, tomatoes, garlic, and red chilli powder in a fry pan; allow it to cool.
  • Grind together with salt.
  • Heat a pan, do the seasoning and add the ground paste; mix well.
  • Cook in a low flame, till oil separates from the mix.
