Prawn /Fish Parathas

Ingredientsprawn parathas

Atta – 1 cup

Oil -1 tsp

Salt to taste


Prawn stuffing

Prawn / Fish – ½ kg

Carom Seeds/ajwain – ½ tsp

Onions – 1

Green chillies – 2-3 nos

Pepper – ½ tsp (freshly ground gives better aroma but it’s optional)

Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

Oil – 1 tsp

Salt to taste


Prepare Stuffing: 

  1. Devein the prawn clean and cook the boil with half salt and turmeric powder.
  2. Mince the prawns.
  3. In a kadai, add a tsp of oil fry the carom seeds, pepper and onion cook until translucent.
  4. Add green chillies fry till soft add the minced prawns. Add half the salt and fry till soft.
  5. Transfer the content to a plate allows it to cool down.

To make the Parathas:

  1. Mix atta in a bowl add a pinch of salt and keep it aside.
  2. Now divide atta into equal portion, make it to a cup shape and stuff the Prawn kheema.
  3. Roll out the parathas applying even pressure.
  4. Take a pan cook the parathas with little oil on sides.
  5. Serve with raita and pickle
