Banana in coconut milk


Bananas – 5

Coconut Milk   – 1 l

Sugar – 300g

Salt  – 1 tbsp

Pandan leaves – 20g

Slice the banana into 1- 1 ½ inch  thick pieces.


  • Put coconut milk, sugar, salt and pandan leaves together in the pot and boil. Once the mixture starts to boil add the bananas.
  • Leave it to cool for 10 minutes
  • Now add the bananas boil the coconut milk again. Boil until the banana is cooked. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Banana in coconut milk is healthy dessert which is made usually in south east Asian countries. Pandan leaves give the dessert a unique taste and aroma. It also got a medicinal benefits containing tannin, glycosides and alkaloids, which said to be the reason for the effective of various health concerns like ear pains, chest pain and solves skin problems. Phosphorus present in Coconut milk aids in building strong bones, coconut milk also good source of iron, dietary fiber and vitamin C present in it helps in building immune system.
