Vastu for the Guest Room

In our Indian culture treating Guest plays a significant role “ATHITHI DEVO BHAVA” means Treating Guest is equivalent to treat God. Welcoming Guest with great pleasure and treating them warmly is thought as the Code of conduct for the family and it’s been thought from Generations to Generations. When we start planning to design your Guest room, we need to consider the some basic vasthu principles to make them feel the happiness, peace and positive energy of the home. Some of the few guidelines that we need to concentrate during design are listed below.

Guest Room objects Directions Causes
Guest Room North west corner Should not be in the Southwest direction has it is meant for owner   of the house
Bed South or west Guest’s  head should face   towards south and  sleepBathroom door should not be exactly opposite to the bed.There should not be any beam running over the bed.
Wardrobes South or west wall
Electrical Equipments South east corner of the room
Window Provide the window at north east corner or west side if the guest   room is in the north west corner
Bathroom South west corner if the guest room is in the north west corner
