Gajar Ka Halwa

INGREDIENTS

Full Cream Milk – 500ml

Carrots – 250 gms (Grated)

Khoya – 150 gms

Sugar – 60 gms

Kewra essence – ½ tsp

Almonds – 10 nos

Cashew nuts – 10 nos

Ghee – 2 tbsp

Raisins – 15 – 20 nos

METHOD

1. Boil the milk in a 1.5 litre deep dish on 100% power for 3:00 min. Add the grated carrots. Mix and microwave on 100% power for 1:30 min.

2. The microwave, uncovered at 80% power for 26:00 min, stirring occasionally till dry. Add the ghee, sugar, khoya and essence. Mix well and microwave on 100% power for 3:00min.

3. Garnish with chopped nuts and serve hot.

Carrot is a naturally sweet, crunchy and delicious vegetable. Carrots are rich in beta carotenes, vitamin-A, minerals and anti oxidants which is good for eye sight and skin. Milk is also a good source of calcium and proteins. Gajar Halwa is a healthy and delicious dessert.
